Thing 8

I think I have been using RSS feeds on my cell and just didn't know that is what they are called. I added five blog sites to my reader and enjoy the convenience of searching through what I enjoy reading only. In school rSS could be used for current events.

Thing 7

Gosh, this is fun! "I'll be right there!" has taken on a new meaning. I'm having a hard time limiting the time I spend exploring.

I started a calendar and like that the agenda can be printed. I can see kids assignments being posted there and then printed for them as a reminder of work that needs to be completed.

I also enjoyed the notebook. It seems great for organizing research notes and book study talks.

I'm in google heaven.

Thing 4

I'm registered and playing.

Thing 3

Wow! I have created my blog and added an avatar. I'm playing with my layout and avatar. My goal is to spice it up. I'm enjoying the challenge of learning something new.

Thing 6

I'm hooked. There are not enough hours in the day to enjoy some many toys. The benefits of calendar maker, maps, mosaic maker, trading card, magazine cover, and picture cubes are endless. Some ueses include biographies, autobiographies, timelines, story maps, sequencing, and prewriting activities. I can use these tools to give kids options for creating projects in our world of multiple intelligent learners.

Thing 5

What a great place to read.

I can already tell that I am going to enjoy Flickr. I am going to try to create a story map using a photo cube. I think my students would enjoy creating a photo cube for a story map or a prewritng activity. THe uses seems endless.

Thing 2

I think the hardest of the 7.5 habits for me is to use technologoy to my advantage. I decided to "play" to overcome that obstacle since playing is the easiest of the habits for me.

Thing 1

I'm ready to start!!!!
